Our customer contacted Mole Home Services following a burst on the waterpipe under the kitchen floor, the water had to be switched off leaving them with no water. Due to the location of the pipework and condition of the lead, a replacement was necessary.
We acted as quickly as possible and arranged a same day survey and booked the works in for the following afternoon.
Our team were able to install 20 meters of 25mm MDPE pipework from the footpath to the new entry point under the boiler. The pipework was brought into the property in a 4 inch preinsulated duct with a new stop tap and drain off, as per waterboard specifications. There was a further second entry point into the downstairs toilet which was also replaced with new MDPE pipework.
All areas were reinstated to our usual high standard.
A WIAPS certificate was issued enabling the customer to claim the £550 grant from United Utilities due to the lead pipework.
